Kringle Anyone?

I decided to tackle making Kringle for the first time for general conference weekend. I have made it with my mom before but never all by myself. I could not have been more pleased when I was finally finished. (It takes about 4 hours to make) It didn't turn out quite like mom's but close enough ;) I will have to practice again so that I can make a wonderful one for Christmas.

Teagie excited to dig in!

A closer look: A layered pastry filled with an almond paste, butter, & raisin mixture. Topped with almond slices & sugar. Yummy! Takes me home :)

Happy Birthday Grandma & Grandpa Ford!

We're sad we are going to miss Grandma and Grandpa Ford's 75th & 80th birthday party but we hope they enjoy Teagen's video we made to celebrate. It was too funny making it because a toddler does what a toddler wants. The first attempt is better than the second so we stuck with it but you can see them both. Sorry the quality isn't the best but still cute.

Productivity Makes Me Happy!

So after having a successful morning at being productive I almost posted on fb when I realized A) nobody cares, B) nobody needs to know about the insignificant daily details of my life & C) that's what blogging is for :) This is just a reminder to myself that being productive makes me feel so much better than being lazy. I just had this overwhelming Ahhhhh feeling after realizing at 11:30 that I had a clean house, updated all of my blogs, got dinner in the crock pot, birthday cakes baking in the oven, finished an Easter craft with Teagie, got a free years subscription to Rachael Ray magazine, and started getting ready to make fondant and Kringle for conference weekend all while being dressed for the day with hair and makeup done. I just love that feeling of accomplishment rather than what I have on the days when I'm in my jammies most of the morning or worse when I can't even remember what I actually got done during the day.

Spring Break

It's been awhile since Dustin and I have been able to enjoy a spring break so we decided to have some fun with the one we had this year. We first went to Minneapolis to see the Mall of America and the other sites. We had a great time with our friends Drew & Mckenzie and it was nice getting away from Fargo for a few days. The weather was wonderful which made up for the girl scout extravaganza at the mall. I've never seen so many girl scouts in one place before! Since the mall was so crowded we decided to spend more time doing things like eating famous Juicy Lucys, visiting a cute children's bookstore called Wild Rumpus, and stopping at Whole Foods and the outlets on the way home. Oh and I can't forget to mention the crazy guy at the hotel hot tub that said he was an MMA fighter and forced Dustin to feel the scars on his head. I was impressed to see how patient Dustin was with him especially since he liked to invade personal space.  Oh the memories :) Our second stop during our break was the Fargo Air Museum. Teagen had a wonderful time seeing all of the cool planes, jets and helicopters. Definitely a boy!
Lego land- (more of a Lego store)
Lego Woody!!!

If you don't want to buy the overpriced picture, just take a picture of it ;)

Go Niners!

We had to show our love during the NFC championship game. Still bummed they lost but keeping our fingers crossed for next season.
2 Cool Cats

The only way to watch a game :)

Remember When...

Teagen going through his obsession with driving cars phase. At almost one years old he would open the door, climb in, and even try to start it with keys in hand all while we were not looking. Luckily, he didn't have the keys when I took this or he might have been long gone ;)

I found him next to a suspicious puddle while rifling through the food cupboards. Love that he stripped off everything except for the headband he found. Even now I can't stop laughing about it.

Booking it before I could redress him. He was such a fast little guy!

Going to town on Grandpa Kirkland's stash of church candy.
